Eyelashes!
I think that every woman should wear false eyelashes, unless of course you have un-naturally long and full lashes naturally then why bother? Its too much work anyway, but if you don't have lashes to envy then stop your complaining and crying and go buy a pair along with DUO eyelash glue and start practicing! I'm sorry there is no shortcut here, you will have to practice and just get the hang of it. You won't have to wear them everyday (unless your diva status like me and do actually wear them daily) but it is nice to dress up your most prominent face feature with long, sexy and flirty lashes. Eyelashes add instant glamour and take your eye from drab to fab!
Wearing False Eyelashes isn't complicated, theoretically speaking; but there is a right and wrong way to wear them. When you go out to pick your lashes, pick a pair you know you would be comfortable wearing but make sure they have a little drama to them or it's not even worth the time or money you spent. Eyelashes come in all sizes and styles so there should be a pair for everyone. DIRECTIONS BELOW;
NOTE- Lashes are put on last after all eyemakeup is done and at least one coat of mascara is applied to your naturaly lashes. This will ensure that you will have a no fuss application and the most natural looking wear possible.
1. Remove lash strip from the plastic palette by pushing is downward with your two thumbs. DO NOT YANK THEM OFF, YOU WILL RIP OR STRETCH THE HAIR!
2. Shake your glue a bit then lightly squeeze until a small bead of glue is peeking out of the tube, take the glue bottle tip and lightly draw the glue along the lash strips sticky side until your lash strip has a neat line of glue along it. All lashes have a sticky backing and may claim you don't need glue but don't believe it because you do!
3. Allow the glue to air dry for about 20 seconds before applying, if you do this the glue will have more of a tacky texture and will eliminate any glue drips or smudging.
4. If you are right handed, your lash strip is in your right hand and you will use your left hand to pull your eye taut and vice versa if your lefthanded. After you have pulled your eye taut, gently place the lash strip directly at the center of your lash line then adjust accordigly to the left or right as needed.
5. When the last strip is in place, open your eye quickly and use a Q-tip to remove any excess glue strands or spots from the lower eye area or sides. Allow the glue to dry for a couple of minutes, you'll know it's dry when you can't see the white color of the glue anymore. While the first lash is drying, apply your lashes to the other eye, this will give you adequate dry time for the next step.
6. When both lashes are on, apply a coat of mascara to them, begin with the first lash strip you applied because this side should be dry and secure by now. Apply mascara to both top and bottom of your top eyelashes so that your natural lashes will further blend with the false lashes. Follow this up with a light coat of mascara to your bottom lashes. Voila! you should now have beautiful full and long lashes and if people don't stare then they have problems!
Now some tips for eyelash wearers- eyelashes should be comfortable if thier applied right, they may feel wierd the first time or the fact that you are now able to see your eyelashes flutter might annoy you but unless thier hurting or itching your eyes then its totally normal. Don't worry you wil get use to wearing them. When removing eyelashes, NEVER PULL OR YANK THEM OFF YOUR EYES WITHOUT LOOSENING UP THE GLUE! You might pull out your real lashes! Instead I always suggest you start washing your face first and as soon as water hits the lashes the glue starts to loosen up and you'll be able to pull them off easily.
If you wear prescription glasses daily, you can still wear lashes but you will have to buy a shorter pair so they won't rub against your lenses. If your super allergic to everything and or you just have a dislike for anything not organic or vegan then false eyelashes aren't for you. There really isn't an organic or vegan, chemical free glue, there just isn't. If you are super conservative and are afraid to wear color, lipstick or blush but you still want to try lashes, then I suggest you buy the singles. They are individual eyelashes that you glue one at a time to your lashline. You can buy them short, medium or long flare and can apply as much or as little volume as you want. Now, go buy yourself a pair and get to work. Post questions if you have any. :)
