Should you go sanz makeup??

Hello my fellow beauty junkies! One of the most pressing issues that has been on my mind lately is the statement, "I don't wear makeup and I don't need it." I hear this more than ever now that I am living in the northwest again. If you are one of the many naturalists that I meet in-store or in the streets, I applaud your admirable self esteem and conviction but I will have to respectfully and politely decline. Maybe its my time spent in sunny southern California working on some of the most beautiful faces on the red carpet and TV that has given me a new perspective. I truly feel that anyone and everyone can use a little makeup, yes even men. Let me give you and example; one of my exes in Los Angeles had a serious case of untreated rosacea but was still devastatingly handsome. He did have some self esteem issues that stemmed from the bright tomato red patches on his cheeks. He would wear hats or walk with his head down and I felt so bad for him! One night while getting ready to go out to a new years every party at NGTV studios, he was wanting to back out and stay home because of his rosacea but I took him aside and proposed a little remedy, a dab of liquid bronzer. This worked for him because he sported a beautiful deep natural tan. He said no, squirmed out of the bathroom door but I dragged him back in and I said I won't tell anybody ok? Just look at it at least, if you hate it, then you can wash it off. So I proceeded to apply a bit of Givenchy Airbrush Bronzer to his cheek bones with a sponge. He looked at the final results in the mirror and his face lit up! He agreed to go party that night with the bronzer. Being in the northwest I spend a lot more time in the retail sector of the makeup world and at least a few times a day I see a customer walk in without a stitch of makeup on, still pretty but in need of tiny improvements. The brows might need some filling in or grooming, his/her skin has a smooth texture but is uneven. These are small issues but if addressed, can transform a face from frumpy to glam. In-store I will always approach you in a friendly manner, I will never make a spectacle of you or loudly point out faults so don't worry! My goal is to get you to sit in my chair and give me 5-10 minutes of your time to introduce you to some quick fixes and a practical regime. I myself am a Glam Diva, I have a 5 step skincare regime that I perform twice a day and and even more extensive makeup routine that goes into place every morning! Well, most mornings! If I am going to be seen in public I refuse to leave my house without my brows sculpted on, Lashes primed and lengthened with two coats of mascara or false eyelashes if i'm feeling extra Diva, face completely flawless and contoured and my best feature (lips) Lined and matted out with a full lipstick. This is what I am accustomed to and this is what makes me feel beautiful and fulfilled. You on the other hand do not have to follow such a tedious program. I don't care how naturally gorgeous you are, unless your 5 years old everyone can use a touch of concealer, a brush of black mascara and a tinted moisturizer. If your lucky enough to be born with a set of beautiful full brows then I would only suggest combing them upward or using a clear gel to groom unruliness. If you are one of the many who, like me were born with thin barely there brows or have tweezed them out during the 90's and now they are refusing to fully grow back in, then you should be filling them in with a fine point pencil or powder in the least. Most women I meet are totally open to something new or learning what to wear to enhance their own natural beauty but for those who are staunch in their decision to abhor all cosmetics for fear of being too vain or "hollywood", I ask that you give the beauty advisors a chance to show you the ropes, it is a sales driven job but a lot of us truly do care about what makes you happy. We enjoy the transformation and the smile on your face when you leave our chair happy! One last note... I know that she is hated by the whole state of washington, maybe even the world...but i've met Kim Kardashian in person and she is gorgeous without makeup but exquisitely beautiful with a full face on. Kim's Artist is just that, an AMAZING Artist! What we do in the makeup chair is truly a natural talent and takes many years of practice to perfect. We have the same eye as DaVinci, only our canvas if you!
