Happy new year! I just wanted to recap some of my fave products for the Pro kit or your personal makeup bag... here are some of the products that served me well on set and in my own makeup bag! 1. Rimmel's 25 hour Foundation- This is a steal at $6.00 a pop and lasts all day! great full coverage and durability. 2. Hello Flawless Powder foundation by Benefit- this is the most luxurious powder I have come acrossed! Its velvety soft and covers any blemish and keeps the shine away for 6+hours or more! It was a good alternative for me when I had to stop wearing foundation to clear up my skin. :) it saved my life! $34.00 3. Pore-fessional Primer by Benefit- This is a silicone based primer as well as large pore filler, it makes not so perfect skin look and feel like porcelain underneath foundation and mattefies oily skins. Love it! $28.00 4. Intensive Youth Serum by Hydroxatone- I love love love this serum! Its an anti-aging product but is a miracle worker on acne skin! It is water based with no dyes, fragrances or parabens and has two main ingredients; Algae and Plankton. These are anti-inflammatories and treat acne in a gentler way than harsh topical treatments due to the fact that the underlying cause of acne is inflammation! If you treat inflammation with anti-inflammatories.. voila! beautiful skin and no acne. it cleared some stubborn cystic pimples of mine in a week and a half! It is a bit of an investment at $90.00 but so worth the results! 5. Mac Chroma Cakes- These are full color, water activated color cakes from MAC, great for eyeliners, facepainting and drawing on fake tatts for on set work. They can virtually be used for anything and everything without causing allergic reactions! $40.00 6. Laura Mercier Camoflauge Concealer compact- This is a full coverage dual colored concealer compact. I don't like alot of work when putting on my foundation so this compact is amazing! It has two colors inside for perfect matching and stays on all day, covering even the most stubborn of scars or discolorations. I haven't broken out yet from using it so its been good to my problem skin. $28.00 7. Laura Mercier Transluscent loose powder- This is a multi-use powder that sets makeup beautifully and keeps it there all day. I've used many transluscent powders in my life but for some unknown reason this powder stands up to the power of my super oily skin and looks great on camera! 8. Brow kit by Clarins- This is a two color kit with highlighter and brow wax with a set of small tweezers inside! Its perfect for any job and is looks pretty natural even with a heavy hand. $32.00 9. Basis oil free gel facial cleanser- OMG! I love this cleanser! I actually bought and used it for the first time in 1999 when I happened upon it at my local walmart. I paid a mere $2.99 for it and found it kept me pretty clear and oil free in general. It has lemon grass inside and no dyes, it does an excellent job of making you squeaky clean and blackhead free. I found it again at walmart last month and it is now $4.99 but still a bargain! Go try it! 10. Mineral Powder palette in Medium by Makeup art- this is a six shade palette of full coverage mineral powder shades. I've used it on many sets and its sleek, compact and fits perfectly in my kit. It much easier than carrying around a million compact powders in your stuff. $80.00 from Makeupart.net 11. E.L.F lash curler- WOW!! I bought this curler in an emergency for a $1 and it has out performed all the rest! Its sturdy and curls perfectly.. who would have thought?? And for a $!! go get it now! 12. Hydroxatone AM/PM moisturizer for senstive skin- This is a gel based, synthetic oil free, paraben free, dye and fragrance free moisturizer that feel like nothing on the skin but hydrates very well! It doesn't feel greasy or cause acne breakout. It has titanium dioxide instead of a chemical spf so its great if your one of those "allergic to everything" people. $80.00 at macys. 13. Lorac Onscreen Duo in Fame and fortune- this was given to me in a gift bag and is the best gel liner i've ever had! its a pot of jet black liner with a gold toned highlighter powder stored on top under a lid, all in one jar! I'm not sure how much it is but I'm sure any sephora or nordstroms carries it.
